Free support to increase school meal take up

One of the actions set out by the School Food Plan is to improve the viability of the school meal service by increasing take up.

As a direct result, the Department for Education has commissioned the Food for Life Partnership and The Children’s Food Trust to deliver support packages to junior, middle, secondary, special education needs schools and PRUs (together with their catering teams) to make improvements to increase the take-up of schools meals.

Food for Life Partnership will be supporting schools in the North of England, the Midlands and London.

The Children’s Food Trust will be supporting schools in the South East, South West and East of England.
