Using food to bridge the achievement gap
In an area beset by poverty and social problems, Greenfields Community School have used food to 'bridge the achievement gap'. They spend Pupil Premium money on extra-curricular activities like cooking and gardening and as a result have seen uptake of school meals increase to 65% [ Greenfields Community School , Nottingham , Midlands ]
