Harvesting in summer and autumn terms

Most of our harvest is during the summer and autumn terms and so during the winter most of the vegetable beds become empty. This gives us the chance to grow new vegetables in different beds in the next year. We try and plant vegetables this way because it helps keep the pests to a minimum and keeps the vegetables and soil healthier. [ Charlton Manor Primary School , South East London ]
