Successfully transforming school meals in Richmond
School Food Matters (SFM) school meals improvement campaign has been independently evaluated. School meals have been completely transformed since 2007 and campaign goals have been delivered.
The campaign began in 2007 and aimed to transform school meals in Richmond primary schools. Parents and head teachers played a vital role by voicing their ambition for fresh, healthy school food. Today, take up has also doubled and a school meal remains cheaper than it was in 2010. Children at 30 Richmond primary schools receive freshly prepared school meals meeting the Gold Food for Life Catering Mark standard.
