Adopting a whole school approach to food at The Greetland Academy
Led by Headteacher, Amanda Bennett, The Greetland Academy has created a whole school approach to food and has voluntarily signed up to the School Food Standards. The school, rated outsanding by Ofsted, cooks more than 1,000 meals a day, supplies 6 local primaries with dinners, has a gardening club run jointly with parents, and has held a farmers’ market selling the pupils’ produce.
The school works with pupils, parents and other set up a collaborative network of local schools to provide high quality meals and food education cost effectively.
